Tale of two cities who are a world apart from eachother

If you really want to see how things are a world apart from each other the best place is to live in Mumbai and Pune for about 2 years in each city. I was one of those fortunate individual on this plant to experience the best and the worst of both worlds. I came to Mumbai when I was in 5th Class. Stayed there for till i was 26 years old.

Then came the first time opportunity for me to live outside the city of Mumbai. I had to come to Pune to join my new company. And from that day till today I am thinking why are these two cities so different from each other. Be it the transport system, the people, the attitude the food the climate .... and the list is just endless. I got a taste of this different attitude on the very first day when I landed in Pune. For someone who has lived in Mumbai for years, Pune initially makes them feel very much out of place. Gradually when you start living in Pune you start accepting things here.
About a decade ago Pune was a very small city with limited number of people. With the incoming IT industry boom came the face lift era for Pune. Some of the best in business software companies decided to open shops in the outskirts of Pune. With this many budding software professionals started coming to this city. This is still on and I am one such example. The problem started seeing up only when the ratio in which people increased in the city, Pune did not gear itself the accommodate this change. This emerged as one of the basic unanswered question for almost everyone.

The same story applies a little bit to Mumbai as well. With the number of people flowing in the city, infrastructure and other facilities are just never sufficient for the people here. A research says that daily an average 350 new families come to Mumbai. Just imagine the rush.

These two cities teach you a lot of things and gradually you start accepting things the way they happen here.
