Kyun ki Saas bhi kabhi Bahu thi

Some months ago the primetime slot on many television channels started seeing some brand new serials which were way better than the typical SaaS Bahu saga. It all started with the launch of an interesting channel called colors. It’s with colors that some real good programs started stepping on the Indian television stage. Issues that were grounded to the roots of the traditional India like child marriage, killing of girl child, rich dad poor dad’s children were brought to light. Other channels like StarPlus still are experimenting with some SOAP matter even today.
Days passed and routines were established for millions of Indians to watch these drams folding and unfolding each evening (not sure if weekends are spared from this). Today it’s again becoming like last year when Tulsi was ruling almost every house across the country. To add some spice to the drama, these days we have a wave of reality shows that are featuring on every channel. Shows to find our reality of marriage, taking care of small children, BigBoss (I don’t understand why people are so bothered about every action of 13 crazy guys.) Thankfully there are no cameras in the toilet otherwise imagine the TRP’s for the program. That’s not all the amount of stupidity, politics that are planned and executed by these small screen actors I wonder if there could have been a better way to use the talent of these people. If you realize there are over 15 conspiracies planned by numerous saas and bahus across serials in less than 3 primetime hours. I don’t understand if these channels are helping our society come out of these traditional thoughts or helping them cherish their childhood memories which have held our society in handcuffs.
And now all this was not enough there is a serial starting which will tell us what we were in our previous birth. God please save us please please please.

Officially no work'

For millions of people who work in the corporate world have to pass through a day of complete anxiety minimum once each year and that day is when the annual appraisal results are disclosed. Unofficially it’s a day of complete no work across the company. With smiles and fallen faces all over it becomes difficult for anyone to manage their daily work. One thought that kind of runs through my mind especially on such days is what should we claim as success? Is it our effort that we take in our daily work or is it the reward that we get at the end of the year in terms of salary revisions. Sometimes it’s money that drives our motivation to work harder. On the contrary sometimes it’s the motivation for some good work that we do at our work place, which we believe helps us gain more experience. Both the reasons are very valid and are rightly considered by almost everyone. Even then it’s human to feel bad when we do not get what we are expecting for close to a year.

We still have to move on and have to wait for the tides to change and hope that someday things will fall in our favor

Raining runs at Nagpur

It's a shower of rains at Nagpur with India batting first has posted a mammoth target of 354 for Australia to chase. This was surely a spectacular performance from our side and that too in times when the big guns like Sachin and Yuvraj did not fire. But then it was the Captain MS Dhoni and the next Mr. Dependable Gambhir who took the proceedings further until it became tiring for the score keepers to manage. Pointing and his team were in a total fix for what they were seeing. The ball was being hit all across the ground and the crowd was just going brazier. For sure its been a sparkling performance put up by team India.

Let's see what is Australia's response to this.

Movie Review: Wake Up SiD

WOW !!! an instant reaction from me when I came out of the theater. A very light headed movie to watch. The best thing of the movie was Konkana Sen. For Sid, well it was a lesson for life. Songs were nice and I am becoming crazy about iKtara. Another good thing about the movie is, it did not take Sid a big jhatka to get serious with life.

I would love to watch this movie again.

Too Many things again

For the past couple of weeks life is taking new turns every day, be it the work circle, friends, family or any other areas. These paths surely are teaching me many many things on their way but then I really want them to get me on to a stable path. I am trying to list out what I want to do in the coming days and somehow I am just not able to do any of this perfectly. Want to pray to god and request him to help me with getting these problems solved.

I want to do these many things going forward:

1. Concentrate more at my work place and do a great job
2. Be extra careful about my health and ensure that I exercise every day
3. Want to write more and write more meaningful matter
4. Want to focus more on www.bestvidon.com and take this to the next level
5. Spend more time with my family

All the best Jeetesh !!!

Wish come true

Well a small wish, but means a world to me. And it came true for a very dear friend of mine. She attended the launch of Chetan Bhagat's new book "2 States" and got a chance to meet Chetan in person. I am very happy for her :) and can imagine how happy she is after meeting him, coz the first thing she did after meeting him was she called me, and the excitment and happiness was clearly felt in her voice.
I am very very happy for you Trupti.

It's better in Konkan

With the world reaching to Goa the so called exotic place for a nice vacation, we were toddling around the cost line of Maharashtra more commonly known as Konkan. And for those days yes I feel its a much better to spend your weekend in Konkan along time beaches of Malvan, Tarkarli, Chivla and many others. These beaches are fairly less crowded and one can enjoy the madness and can relax a world here. To reach this place the approach road is fantastic and is worth a drive. I would love to drive along this road again. There are many good places as well which we can explore along this coastline. During our 3 day stay here we managed to visit places like Tarkarli beach, Sindudurg fort, Chivla beach, rock garden, ganesh mandir and sangam. MTDC has made provisions for house boats here. You can enjoy a stay in these house boats and be rest assured its a memorable stay. If the weather is good and the sea is clam we can do snorkling as well which otherwise is available in Andaman only. :( The boat ride to the sidudurg fort is just too good. One keeps wondering how could Shivaji Maharaj manage to build such a great structure in the middle of this sea. Hire a tourist guide and he will take you around the fort and sure you would love to hear some astonishing tales and some interesting facts about the fort and its history. The only sad part of the trip was the rainfall which for some reasons just not coming to a halt. By gods grace everytime we were to go to a place to see something the rain gods showed us the way. There we also visited my mom's village called Masure. On the last day while returing back we went to Ganpati Pule. Another intersting place and finally exhausted like anything this bunch of crazy guys came home and hit the bed hard for a sound sleep.
Some snaps from our visit.
