No takers for INS Vikrant

Today there was a news in the papers that there are no bidders for the INS Vikrant Museum project. Some five business houses who were shortlisted from the stage one of the bidding process, were suppose to submit their financial bids, but guess they refrained from doing so. It’s their choice after all. I wonder why is that none of these business houses think from a social point of view where it would be a matter of pride to build a memorial of India’s first Aircraft carrier war ship. During the Navy week people stand in long queues only to experience the ecstasy of this mammoth ship. But why should this ship be seen during the Navy week. Cant we have a good way in which people can see this all round the year.

It’s really sad that our business icons are not thinking along these lines. But the good part is government has put its foot forward to take this dream to a big reality.

Hyderabad on top

Today’s touchdown at Hyderabad International Airport was by far the best one for me. The entire airport premises was so well built and maintained that it was just not looking India. A huge eight lane highway, approaching the airport are a great sight to see from the flight. Volvo buses ply between the terminals and the taxi stand and some take passengers to the city and that too for free.

Cheer Leaders

Today in India, IPL might be the most spoken word. IPL has not only touched our lives but has contributed to many good and bad things across the nation. With the team franchisees costing 5 times of what it would cost in EPL (European Primer League). One might think is India still a developing country ?

This IPL has given a whole new form to cricket clubbed with entertainment. This mix is going through everyone's throat except for some political leaders. They feel that cheer leaders and drinks served to audiences distract them from cricket. And most of all it hampers their sportsmanship spirit.

Is there anyone who agrees to this crap: I mean which player from the middle of the stadium will be able to spot a beer can among the crowd of 20,30 thousand people.

Its high time our leaders find something more sensible to think about
