Today the Supreme Court of India passed out a good decision against Sanjay Dutt that he cannot contest in the coming LokSabha elections as the trails are still underway and he is convicted in some criminal cases registered against him.
This goes on to show that the Law is same for everyone, be it a film star or a great leader. In a corrupt country like India this decision definitely gives a hope to millions of people that we can trust our Courts judgment that it would not be a biased one.
I do admire Sanjay as a person but for a mistake thats committed the price has to be paid.
Good for the country.

Around Pune with fun and fear
There is a saying in Marathi that "Jithe Pikta tithe vikat nahi" it means that something that is grown in the region is not sold in that region. An analogy to describe that I am staying in Pune for more than 18 months and I never had visited any historic place worth watching in pune. The tour started with my family members coming to Pune. Over the weekend we visited over 5 major places here. The Shanivar Vada, Sinhgad Fort, couple of famous temples.
For months I had heard that there is an awsome sound and light show at Shanivar Vada. This weekend we got a chance to see this show, and let me tell you that this is a great treat to watch. We prayed in the dagdushet halvai temple. Next morning we did a car trek to Singhad. There on my way back I did a big blunder, while driving down that steep road, I switched off the engine of the car to show my aunt that the the car can still move. I took out the keys to show them this. In that fraction of a second the steering got locked. I could not turn the car, had to apply a sudden break there was fear all around. Anything could have happend but by gods grace the car stopped and we all were saved. A scary moment for me thank god your were there to save us all.
Lesson Learned: Never take out the keys from your cars dashboard while the car is in motion.

Connecting Mumbai
For years there have been many new ideas that have come up to connect Mumbai in a better way than before. One such major attempt is the Bandra Worli Sea Link. The sea link upon completion would be one of the best things to see in Mumbai. Today if we have to go from Bandra to Worli it takes nothing less than 45 minutes to an hour to reach in peak traffic hours. This bridge will save more than half the time during these peak hours.
This will be an awesome drive for anyone specially in the night.Last weekend we were on the Mumbai trip and got a chance to see this sea-link. HCC the company who is building this bridge is doing a phenomenal job.

The Big daddy game

For some days now there is a news that's floating in the market about a possible takeover of Sun Microsystems by IBM. Now this is what I call the BIG daddy game, where the there are two masters standing on either side of the table to form what may the worlds best company for every IT need. News is that this deal could be worth more than $6.5Bn, now that's a lot of money.
If at all this deal comes true what we will see is IBM, the worlds largest software company will overnight gain a solid hold over the Internet Solutions.
All the best IBM guys, pull this one off.
Movie Review: The Pursuit of Happiness

No better word to start with but by far a great movie, truly a masterpiece. Acting by every one is simply great. More importantly the movie forces us to think. Its based on real life story of Chris Gardner who's role is played by Will Smith. After the movie ends we realize that its just hard work and that has no other substitute. The struggle which Chris goes through in the movie very much resembles the struggle by the actual Chris.

The IPL and the 2009 LokSabha Elections
The mid year of 2009 is going to witness some of the most dramatic events in the history of this country. Sounds a little exaggerated but yes the IPL season II and the LokSabha elections are the most awaited events for every Indian.
Season I of IPL created waves across the globe if I can say this, and the same can be expected this year as well.
Coming in the month of April are the LokSabha elections that will give us the right to choose our candidate. In my opinion I don't see great chances of Congress making it up this time, with no great story for them to showcase from their last five years stay in the government.

Hello Hello Hello,
I am back after a good couple of weeks break. No particular reason for this outage but yes had become a lazy goose for some time. To catch up a few things in my life:
1. At my work place lots of changes happening and they are still not complete
2. Doing some serious planning on my budgets and financial situation
3. Seriously started reading my collection of books
4. My budgets for this month are very very tight ensuring that I spend as less on everything that i feel is my need.

An Inspiring Story

Michael Saul Dell was not even a teenager when he began first venture, Dell Stamps. When it earned him $2,000, he was hooked. He knew being an entrepreneur was what he wanted to do.
When he was 16, he began selling newspaper subscriptions. He sifted potential customers through the city's mortgage and marriage licence lists. The idea was spectacularly successful. Within a year, he had earned over $18,000; it was more than what his teachers at school were paid. By the time he finished school, he had bought his own BMW.
He launched PC's Limited, a company that would custom build computers and sell them directly to users, while he was still in college. As the company grew more and more successful, and Dell grew more and more disinterested in his studies, he struck a deal with his parents -- he dropped out of college and had three months to prove that the business was doing well.
Dell never looked back. Today, he is the most profitable PC manufacturer in the world. He is worth $17.3 billion and is ranked No 11 on Forbes' richest Americans list.
